A hands-on course for anyone involved with operating and maintaining the 3500 Encore Monitoring System. Topics include overview of hardware components, Proximity Transducer Operation, Rack Configuration of radial and thrust monitors, system troubleshooting and maintenance. Workshops include practice with 'live' monitors and racks. Class sizes are kept small to ensure that students have the opportunity to fully explore the capabilities of the system.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

·         Explain the role of the 3500 Encore Monitoring System in machinery monitoring and protection.

·         Explain the difference between matched and unmatched proximity transducers, installation pitfalls, and verifying systems using the TK-3.

·         Configure and verify monitors types including the Radial Vibration, Thrust monitors.

·         Apply software switches, Trip Multiply, and Rack Alarm Inhibit.

·         Troubleshooting techniques for transducers and replacement of 3500 Encore monitors.

Course Length: 3 days
Materials Provided: Training Manual & Lab Stations with all hardware.
Prerequisite: To maximize the benefit of this course, we suggest that the student purchases the Data Acquisition CBT and review it prior to attending most of the courses in the Condition Monitoring curriculum.
